NOTES: (1) MY PRELIMINARY SUMMER 2010 FORECAST IS FOR NORMAL TO BELOW PRECIP AND NORMAL TO BELOW TEMPS MOSTLY MID AND UPPER 80's WITH LESS THAN FIFTEEN DAYS OF 90 PLUS AND LESS THAN SEVEN DAYS OF TEMPS 95 OR GREATER IN THE BALTIMORE AREA WITH A LA' NINIA DEVELOPING IN THE FALL !!! AND (2) ALSO I WOULD EXPECT A MORE ACTIVE 2010 HURRICANE SEASON IN THE ATLANTIC BASIN WITH 10 TO 12 NAMED STORMS GENERATING 6 TO 8 HURRICANES AND ABOUT 3 OF THEM BEING MAJOR HURRICANES BUT EXPECT TWO OR THREE TROPICAL STORM LANDFALLS AND TWO OR THREE HURRICANE LANDFALLS IN THE U.S. THIS YEAR BUT IF ANY OF THESE LANDFALLS WERE TO BE MAJOR I WOULD EXPECT IT TO BE ONLY ONE OF THEM THAT WOULD BE MAKING LANFALL ANYWHERE IN THE U.S. !!! THIS SEASON ALSO LOOKS TO BE CENTERED MORE FROM FLORIDA EASTWARD AS WELL AS OUT OVER THE OPEN WESTERN ATLANTIC INSTEAD OF THE GULF COAST LIKE LAST SEASON WAS WITH THE THREAT SOMETIME IN SEPTEMBER FOR A TROPICAL SYSTEM OR REMANTS OF TO EFFECT THE MARYLAND AREA AS THE LATER SEASON STORMS MAY BE FLIRTING WITH HATTERAS AND ALONG THE JERSEY SHORE !!!
